Re: exhaust and intake for a 1.9 diesel
never seen a 1.7 intake so cant comment on that but the 1.6 is staight on...you might need a gasket tho.i used both gaskets on mine just to make sure
...so ...you have the metal bit off ringo and you have the plastic box and lid for the airfilter from me..also the rubber tube that comes of that (albeit a bit poorly) and you have the resonator ? box from me too...see if you still have the ducting up inside the panels and the snorkel..just take the vent off the outside and have a look if its there...should be all set then mate
oh and i sent you a very very dirty mucky airfilter...just as an added bonus

When it stops raining (this is Wales, it may be some time!!) i'll take a photo for you Dave. It is very tight, and a piece of rubber is currently wedges between the manifold and the bulkhead, as it was touching and shaking my fillings loose, which is why i've gone on the chase for a 1600 manifold.

Re: exhaust and intake for a 1.9 diesel
Crap, lets try again

As you can see i managed to get a flex pipe and a catalytic converter in there. It's still not as quiet as i'd like and now that i have the Performance Diesel super pump on there i can tell the exhaust is too restrictive as i can only wind it up to about 5000 rpms! Next will be a double exhaust manifold and larger matching everything downstream.

Re: exhaust and intake for a 1.9 diesel
Yes it's on a 1.9 non turbo. I figure i have as much power as a 1.6 TD with zero smoke . Look at http://www.vwdiesel.net/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for tons of info the pump comes from http://www.performancediesel.ca/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
One of the employees there even runs a 1.9 na in his Golf which we never got on this side of the pond and they have the best customer service and quite knowledgeable as they are Bosch service dealers.
