Sorry but sensor needs to be in coolant flow to give accurate reading. A 'T' fitting has no movement of coolant.

the probes are quite long and im assuming they would sit in the flow, most ive been reading say to put it in the radiator hose... i dunno need to research more, some1 must have done a similar thing

Presumably though, a probe clamped firmly to the body of the rad would give a reasonably close reading.

Wrapped tightly against hose will work too.

I would have thought rad temp would be pretty useless.
It would be effected by coolant loss, airlocks, road speed, thermostat position etc.
I'd be more interested in actual engine temp.
I guess you could use a T piece if the probe projected into the main flow.

Agree T. Best in coolant flow in head or block
