Battery question

Post by tone »

I'm trying to help my son in law with a battery question - they live in London and have a 2ltre type 2 van - it wouldn't start today so they had to call the AA who jump started it and diagnosed a dud battery - they have another battery from their old car ( a Nissan Bluebird ) that was almost new and is charged up - its the same size - can they use this or do they have to buy another one specifically for a type 2 VW van ?

A quick response would be greatly appreciated - many thanks

Tony

Batteries do come with different amp ratings so the honest answer is that yes it should have the correct battery for the vehicle, but to get them out of the poo temporarily the battery off the nissan will sufice
I'm in my own lill world but its ok cos everyone here knows me !

If it physically fits, the terminals are the same size and orientation and it is of the same amp/hour rating or higher, it can be used permanently.
