that little bit that sticks up - looks like a small hole in it...for the cable to pull it open?

Hi Em, the bit sticking up hasn't got a hole in, it's a bolt, holding on a bit of metal which has rusted/torn away from whatever it was attached to, which you would think would be easy to find... but no joy yet. :lol:

Looks like its from the back of engine on LH side, opposite bit that looks the same with cut out for fuel pump. Mines been missing pretty much since i had my van. It did have a chopped up roses tin which promptly fell off somewhen shortly after i got it on the road.

We had this nasty B.....d at work who needed something to worry about other than upsetting his colegues. So I dreamed up this idea that each day I would discretely squirt a tablespoon of dirty engine oil under his engine on my way into work. Never actually got round to it in the end. Not infering that you are anything other than a likeable decent upright citizen but you haven't upset someone with access to rusty old car/van looking junk have you?

looks like the deflector plate that bolts to the heat exchanger to me .
i took mine off (well ripped off) when i changed my exchangers.
