I'll be fitting some 6" x 9" JBLs in the lower panel of my cab doors next week and note that there doesn't appear tobe a straightforward cable run to the dash. I can sort a route out but was wondering if anyone else has already saolved the problem. At present I have no wiri ng to my cab doors so I can't piggy back on existing, it'll be a new install.
Thanks
Nick

Re: cab door speaker cable routing
The way I did mine was to run the cable through the rectangular ventilation hole leading from the front pillar into the door. IIRC you will have to drill a small hole through the bottom of the ventilation channel in the door for the cables to run down to the speaker but at the opposite end there are plenty of sticky 'plasters' covering holes all along the ventilation duct running from the air distribution unit to either side of the van.
Just make sure to install rubber gromets in the holes to prevent cold air escaping into the cab around the cables!

Thanks asgain Camperfan! I must admit I had been eying them up myself as the simplest route. Annoyingly, I've a pair of Range Rober door cable rubber concertinas I picked up to do the job properly but can't see a simple way to make them work.

No drilling is necessary if you use the existing holes.
There is also an elephants trunk that goes between the door and body.
