BEST CAN OF PAINT

Post by damongrounsell »

THE MOOSE, WESTFALIA WHITE 1989 NEEDED SOME WORK DOING TO IT AND I SPRAYED IT WITH THE PAINT SOLD AT HALFORDS, NOT ALPINE WHITE, IT WAS PASTEL WHITE. THE NEW PAINT IS A SLIGHTLY MORE YELLOW SHADE THAN THE ORIGINAL, IS THIS DUE TO MY PAINT FADING. WHERE CAN I GET A SLIGHTLY BETTER MATCH, I JUST NEED TO RESPRAY A SINGLE SEEM I'VE REDONE.
THANKS AS ALWAYS
DAMON

Try a local motor factors, ask round and see who mixes paint themselves, they will be able to match to your van or the paint code. It's likely that your whole van will have faded though so a good T-Cutting session is probably in order before you take it to them to match with.
What a long strange trip it's been

Hi Damon
You meet need to use a rubbing compound to bring it up. Realise you are a bit far away but I have an excellent electric d/a polisher here if you wish to call round.
