Are 1991 1.6TD Californias rare?

Post by carlos73 »

Hi,

I am a member of the brickyard yard and started off a discussion: hardtops v poptops if anyone has seen it

But my question here is I am buying a 1991 1.6TD California and as I have never heard of one til now are they rare?

Cheers

The dweezil California as such wouldn't be particularly rare, the specific 1991 one might be, as the T4 was already available then ...but I doubt that it will ever command any sort of rarity value just because it's 91 instead of 90 or 89.

This on the other hand

with the Oettinger tweaked 90 bhp TD would be rare indeed

Plenty of '91' vans around....doesn't really make it any rarer or more desireable but helps if two equally mint vans were compared side by side BUT...as is repeated on here everytime value is talked about...condition is everything!
Nice ÖTTINGER...nice respray.
