Rear difflock bracket wanted....

Hiya,

Whilst removing my starter a few weeks ago I had to resort to an angle grinder to undo the bolts holding the difflock actuator......

Unfortunately I was suffering with man flu at the time so what I actually cut through was the bracket itself... "tw~nt".

I "Remanufactured" the damaged bit but must have got the position of the holes slightly out or summat because the locker now fails to lock....

Would anyone have a spare bracket perchance?

Also can I test the actuator on vacuum without it being attached to the gearbox pin?

I didn't know you could even get an angle grinder into that space.

Sorry - I haven't got a spare one, but have you tried syncrospares for a bracket?

You can't.... that's how the bracket got adjusted.

Can I test the operation of the actuator with it off the bracket? just to rule that out? My refabrication job on the bracket looked to be spot on so it may be somthing else causing my woes.

you just suck on the appropriate nossle to test van unit, orange boot should be intact to maintain positive vacuum retention in on position, you can plug into the vac loom and run engine and use switch to test sure no problem

Do you mean that the hose end of the unit points down and aft as it was when I removed it? Or is it somthing else?

yes hose connections point down, late bracket nuts on top, early (short pin that goes into sleeve) nuts on bottom
