Re: EGT gauge help..
My Stack lambda gauge is in a different league in terms of quality when compared to the VDO cockpit range. Multi function, auto backlighting linked to cab brightness. plug in Loom, nice fitting instructions, data logger output. Just the fitting bracket is so much nicer.

Re: EGT gauge help..
A lot of the stack gauges are water proof, which in your case Al would be a very good thing

I used Stack in my single seater days and I never had a problem and vibration was a big issue

Yeah you do, i noticed that just earlier. But only on the "Pro Control Stepper Motor Gauges" as far as i can tell.
Each Stack Pro Control gauge features peak 'Tell Tale' memory showing maximum temperatures, minimum pressures and Volts. User configurable output for activating accessories such as fans, pumps, lamps and alarms. Each gauge has a choice of 7 colours which can be set by the user for maximum visibility.
Yes indeed!now theres a thought.

Re: EGT gauge help..
Well,... i think i've made a decision.
The airworld gauges are cheap and good quality, but i would prefer matching gauges and something a bit more automotive than aerospace.
The VDO gauges are a good match to the existing stuff in the van, but in some ways a bit lacking for the money.
The Stack gauges are a good looking (not xmas tree) style, there's a range of different gauges (mechanical, electrical, electrical professional) multiple back light colours,(in the electrical pro range - programmable warnings/backlight colour change/flashing), they come with all the necessary senders, good install instructions, and the very interesting programmable 12v output.
Ive priced up the cost of getting ºC EGT gauge + PSI boost gauge in VDO and Stack and to be honest there isn't a great deal in it. So i reckon i'm going to go for buying in the UK, and the extra functionality that Stack offers.

Re: EGT gauge help..
Yeah,...i looked at the SPA ones. However i reckon i can still get the Stack EGT and Boost gauge for slightly less money.
Also, im not all that keen on the digital look. There's something i prefer about a proper dial. Horses for courses i guess.
However i do like the idea of having them in one gauge. Sensible places to put gauges in a T3 are limited!

Not joking!
With the SPA ones, you can have that, and oil pressure and temp, 4 guages for the size of 2, and 2 fit nice in the ashtray, easy to see and don't look a c*nt.
