cylinder head temprature gauge.

Post by mr_clarkson »

Hi, i have been thinking of adding a head temp gauge to my 2.0ltr CU Aircooled t25, but i cant seem to find much info on them, where does the sender fit? i found something on the net that sounded like you just attach a wire to no.3 sparkplug, and that goes direct to the vdo gauge, but to be honest i think i must have misunderstood. can anyone explain, and supply any links to the sender/gauge.

thanks
jon

From what I understand the sender have a ring that fits under the spark plug, or the sender can be JBwelded to the head, or screwed to the head. This is all from memory of something I red years ago so someone will need to confirm it:

It's worth reading this article before buying a CHT gauge...
