1.9td cam belt wear

Checked out my cam belt this evening and found that the front edge had melted rubber all the way around it. Can anyone give me an idea of the causes of this. The tensioner was set correctly.

Most likely is fuel pup out of alignment. Is the belt running off the edge of cam or pump pulleys
