internal heater unit

Post by rubyvan »

Hi
Can anyone tell me how to fix in a heater (that runs from the water heated by the engine and goes in the back under the rock and roll bed in a westy).
Is it fairly easy to do ?

I believe it is possible to retro fit this..
you take a branch off the radiator inflow
but controlling the flow through the matrix is er..difficult.
I don't think VW fixed this..but not sure.

good idea though :ok

I have one of these heaters fitted at the factory as an option. There is a fan speed control to the left of the other controls on the dash and the valve on the side of the matrix itself. You obviously cannot adjust the heat by remote but it is an amazing heater in the winter, especially for those at the back and I think worth fitting.

Perhaps you could get the matrix and controls out of a scrapper? That way you can see how it was wired and plumbed in... :ok
