1.9D 1Y Engine - Water Pipes??

Hi all,

My head failed a while back...now repaired but the last thing I need to source is a couple of coolant pipes. I need the pipe from the head to the water pump (24mm internal dia). The old one was straight, and 'bent' to fit, resulting in a huge kink which may have been the cause for the head failing (it wasnt me!), the other pipe needed is from the upper block to the rad, and is wider where it connects to the engine than the main body.

So I've searched around but can't find a stockist, but given that a 1Y is a popular conversion, I thought I'd try here....any ideas guys??

If you place an advert in Classifieds under ''Wanted'' you may get a response from one of the breakers on the site. There are several on here & you may just get some good water pipes at a fair price.

I understood that they were obsolete at VW but I thought that JK sell them. Maybe JK only do them for a 1.9DG or possibly a 2.1DJ.

For info - good old Brickerks had the 24mm pipe in silicon
