Re: brake calipers
No bad thing to pump fresh brake fluid through at the same time either.

Re: brake calipers
what Ian means is that 20 odd year old pipe connections have a tendency not to want to undo even with plusgas heat and patience and the correct tools so be prepared to have to replace other parts (i'd do the flexi anyway while you're there tbh) but be aware that each joint can be a problem and you can end up chasing the faults down the line all the way sometimes, great in the end as you have all new pipes that won't fail and peace of mind but it can be time consuming, frustrating and expensive. May be worth getting the local garage to quote for the job and giving them the headache especially if you aren't equipped, patient and or ham "interfered with" (no offence to anyone intended here btw, but we don't always acknowledge our faults, took me a while to learn the patience, plusgas, cup of tea, more plusgas, heat approach, but now rarely snap things or have to resort to big hammer, drill, professional servicesetc, which saves my sanity and time and or money)

Re: brake calipers
Katie, sorry to confuse you
I needed to replace both front and both rear flexys when we first tested the Bus 6 years ago .... on the front the flexys go from the main union under the front to a small pipe that attaches to the caliper ... we ended up (even with heat and plus gas and many Anglo-Saxon words) replacing every pipe on the whole van and both calipers and one rear cylinder ... not a single thing would undo OR they'd already been rounded off before.
That's how it can go, your's hopefully will be fine
