Intermittent Ignition problem

Post by RoosterBooster »

i seem to have an intermittent problem when starting my van. Brand new battery put on as old one was flat and thought this would remedy my prob ............. alas no such joy. Problem , i think, is located with the ignition barrel/wiring. Sometimes it fires first time, other times it may take 20 turns before it goes. Any ideas?

OK you mean you turn the key and nothing.. no lights, not even a click?

next time turn the key and hold it for 4 or 5 seconds.
might be sticky solenoid syndrome
