One of our Scammel pioneers had a petrol engine in, cant remember if it was a meadows or a Rolls Royce B80, but anyway the carbs had to be balanced under load so we used to take the bonnets off and drive it (slowly) round a housing estate while the foreman set them up, only recall it ever being done about three times but the local plod would always mention how many people had rung in. Strangely no one said anything to us
BTW I change the belt on my milling machine pulleys all the time, its running a lot slower though. LMAO
