My Doka got nicked and they twisted all the wires together and as i see it left them twisted while driving it (knackered starter and battery as a result) anyway i've fixed the wires to where they should go, but the heater plugs aren't working the relay clicks and the little yellow led doesn't light up anymore, i've made sure the power is coming from the relay and i've checked the fuses all ok

Ok this is what happened,

is there another relay i'm missing? or fuse? btw starts wizard with easy start

Easy start isn't the best answer
If the wiring is fixed and it starts great then cool, but if from this point forward it needs a dose of easy start, then it means the compression (or somthing along those lines) is low.
The wiring? You need to look at a wiring diagram and follow your wiring to see if it matches. Can't remember off hand, plus my van was a petrol to diesel conversion with the worst wiring ever

Have you checked the big flat fuse in the black box with the glow plug relay?

I checked all the fuses i could see, there is a red spade (the only spade fuse) 10A i think but i checked that one

It's a 50A one in the black box with the glow plug relay on the bulkhead in the engine bay on the left to the front of the van.

The strip fuse will look like a strip of metal with a hole in either end that goes over a stud. VWP sell them if you cannot source one. A good source is BMW they use them just up from the battery as a fuse for the cable feeding the auxillary fusebox under the rear seats for optional bells and whistles.
If your glow plugs arent working then you will not start your engine as indirect injection diesels such as ours require a starting aid such as glow plugs or a thermostart. hence the easy start requirement. However I only use it in emergencies because small engines dont like it as it locks them up, it can cause head gasket problems/cracked heads.
I doubt there is a compression issue BUT check the governor seals on your injector pump to make sure they havent opened up the governer to get more speed out of the van, this is a common fault on stolen/recovered diesels and the excess fuel wash runs the oil off the cylinder bores and causes rapid wear to engine components.
