Yep, tetrasyl stonechip on ebay for around a fiver - that will do the job. Finally a clear answer, not of course everybody's clear answer (100 sailors again) but sounds like a good, and much cheaper, method of protection than all the other complex systems. Thanks for all your help Damien.

The B pillars are the ones between the cab doors and the sliding doors aren't they? Yes, I have seen all the bungs - what goes in there then JUST the waxoyl I suppose...? Or could you spray in anti rust liquid first just in case? Let it dry and THEN waxoyl?
