rev counter was intermittent - now dead

Post by _robin »

I have a revcounter in my jx powered '89 caravelle. It used to work most of the time and occasionally drop out for a few mins now and again. After having the dash off to fix the temp gauge the bloody thing hasn't moved at all.

Is there any BTDT out there on these things?

Cheers
Robin.

Chances are is the multiplug connected to the clocks or a minor break on the circuit board.

If you cant get it fixed you should be able to run a wire from the coil up to the rev counter.. i have an after market one which runs off a single wire from coil that i ran in.
Nothig to hard to do.
