Disconnected pipes !

Post by jester1467 »

Hi just joined, just bought a 87 /88 Caravelle GL syncro.
The van was brought over from germany a couple of years ago, when it was brought over it had had the prop shaft taken out and 4 pipes disconnected from the diffs? apparently to save on fuel costs from Germany to South Wales The prop shaft has been put back in but the seller didnt kmow where the pipes went. Drove it backfrom South Wales to Bournemouth yesterday, ran really well. They look like air pipes approx 1cm in diameter, there are two at the front and two at the back, at the moment they are cable tied to the chassis with a nail in the end to cap them off. Any ideas anybody? :D

From what I can make out from that horrible coloured font, you have a Syncro with the prop off. Pipes could be the vacuum lines to the diff lock actuators. Look in Syncro section for more specific info
Like Gadders says, please change the colour for replies so we might be able to read them properly and be more helpful
What a long strange trip it's been
