Have I just killed my sink water pump ?
Just playing around in my new van ('84 Autosleeper Conversion) - had the pump running but no water coming out... whilst I looked around trying to work out what the problem was the buzzing of the pump turned to a hiccup and then petered out...
Wished I'd have read around here first as I think I needed to prime the pump.
But what now ? New inline pump ? It's at the back of the fridge so it'll be a bit of a pig to change. What's involved with replacing it for a submersible one ?
Cheers (and thanks)
Paul.

chances are its overheated, they use the water as cooling whilst pumping, try it again when primed.....
if its dead a submersible one is a easy replacement, although they are not a reliable and dont last as long as a inline..
just move the wiring over, and join the pipe where the inlne was.

Cheers Steve... just tried priming it, got the water through the tap, but still no joy with the pump. It's putting load on the battery (interior lamp flickers when you switch it) but no familar buzzing...
I'll get myself a submersible one, and every time I bang my head fitting it I'll consider it a lesson learnt...

is it a "WHALE" INLINE?
if it is take it out and you can "kick start the impeller with a thing screwdriver thro the outlet hole, it may have a blockage?
worth a try if you have to get it out anyway to replace

Cheers Steve - I'll disconnect it and see what I can do.
The submersible sounds ideal (and cheap) but how do I get it down in the water ? The current infeed to the pump feeds down to a hole (along with the waste from the sink). It can't be that easy to get a pump down into the tank can it ?
Thanks again,
