AAZ engine probs

Post by MoonlightCustoms »

Ive got oil pressure issues in the syncro. Does any one know where the oil pressurerelief valve is in the AAZ 1.9TD engine? Im hoping the oil pick up is blocked but i think thats being optermistic  Ive got a spare oil pump thats good so fingers crossed it will be a spanner job and not a big cash job.

Im toying with droping the egine instead of doingit in cause then i can do the rear difflock and all the little bits of body work and repaint it :?:

How do you know the pressure is wrong? Have you tested it or do you have a gauge?

If your relying on the DOPS system it might be worth just checking that the multi plug under the dash doesnt need a 'wiggle'

i put a gauge into the oil pressure switch, it had only 5psi at idle and that droped off to 0 when reved! Ived had it to bits today, the oil pumps nackered, and the spare one i had has got to much backlash in the gears so ive got to get a new pump now, while the sumps off i think im going to put new bearings on crank and the big ends while i can get to it, will see how much they are tomorrow :D
