wild camping?
Matt is bringing furry wuff down and I am driving up, all we need now is somewhere to meet.
Any suggestions?

ever been? everyday!
basically stick to the coast, some fantastic places - Beadnel, Alnmouth, Seahouses, Holy Island (lindisfarne). Duridge Bay has one of the finest beaches in the country. Away from the coast there's Kielder Forest (loads of camping)!
Lots of campsites along the way - can't recommend any cos I haven't stayed in any
Just make sure you avoid Newbiggen by the Sea, Ashington and Blyth and you'll be fine!

thanks everyone. well the seaside is winning as wuffers will enjoy that. Don't know if he's been to the seaside before, i'm sick of going to sites and he has to be tied up all the time. He's not going to wander off or bother anyone its getting him to not be 2 feet from us that's the problem
Time to pack

Yep also go there a lot, try the car park at Boulmer beach, you park 10' from the sand.
Tend to respect the wild spots and only stay a night at each, also the local pub(100yds)has just been refurbed.
Its a nice cliff top walk to Craster, get some superb kippers which you will smell smoking on the way there! loads of fishy stuff for the BBQ
Lets us all know how you get on

Thanks for all the tips, we wild camped at Boulmer on the first night, next to an arrogant autosleeper ducato owner who insisted on emptying his waste water in the middle of the car park.
Because of the rain we chickened out and stayed in a campsite outside Craster and had a few beers while we watched the Argentina/Mexico game. Got a fridge getting stunk out with Kippers but I'll enjoy them later.

yeah - bought loads of kippers! In fact, we ended up staying for most of the week in the camp site near craster - lovely site with elecy for £12 a night.
I can't beleive how friendly people are up there - it was fantastic - such a refreshing outlook on humanity.
The beaches were amazing - with no people on them, golden sands and blue seas - lovely.
However, the weather was "misty" which put a downer on the trip really(not much of a downer to be fair)! It was 15 degrees on the coast and thirty degrees seven miles inland - bizarre. Instead if doing bugger all on a beach we did a bit of sight seeing and a lot of drinking.
Did i mention how cheap it is up there ? Fantastic.
Thanks for the tips
