Any recommendations for an overnight stay near Gatwick?
Doesn't have to be a proper campsite as long as its safe. Only for one night. Thanks.

Only 1 I know of is:
Amberley Fields Caravan Club Site
Charlwood Road
Lowfield Heath (end of the runway!)
Crawley
West Sussex
RH11 0QA
Tel: 01293 524834
There arent that many round Gatwick as its a) 1 big industrial estate!
b) Blooming noisy!

Been trying to sort out getting there and back myself, best I've come up with is Gatwick travelodge has rooms at £35 including secure parking, or there's some a bit further from the airport for £29. Probably not what you wanted to hear but It does seem like a bit short on camping spots.

What a long strange trip it's been

Well, this is what we did..
We had parking booked at APH, but they wouldn't let us sleep in the van there, so we found a perfect, very off-road (and quiet) lay-by just round the corner. If I've got the link right you can see it here.
The lay-by is just past the car park going east. It's not pretty, but perfectly functional for a good nights sleep (especially if you don't need to get out of the van!)
Hope this helps.
