Warning lights?

Post by Helga »

Hi, can anybody tell me whether a 1982 2 litre Aircooled would have a brake warning light as standard?

Mine doesn'r appear to have one - just wondering if that was normal!

Thanks

my 1990 2.1 water cooled doesn't have one!!!

It does however, have a red light that comes on when the handbrake is on...is that what you meant, as I am pretty sure my old Aircooled had one of those.

Hi, no I meant a light just for brake fluid level and handbrake... there doesn't even appear to be a warning light on the dash for it... BUT there is a half broken bit of switch on the handbrake itself... must check to see if there is any sort of low fluid switch on the brake master tank behind the clock set... is it just stuck on the top of the tank?

Thanks!

Oh, would it be easy to rewire a light system for this?

It's part of the reservoir cap assembly.
