Autosleeper curtains

Looking to fit new curtians in my 85 autosleeper hightop anyone have or know where I can get oringal plans/curtians

Anyone used to making curtains only needs the window sizes to make them correctly, allowing for any gathering. They should also be lined to cut down external light and noise.

If I remember rightly, 10 metres of each isn't far off! Dunelm (if you have a branch) is a good place to start as you can look at patterns/prices and calculate what it wil all cost. Alternative is charity shops for BIG s/h curtains cut down to do the job.

remember re- doing ours not so long ago and we used 6m of material (just enough) but less for the lining

Mine were around £150 for fabric, lining and tapes (the bit that gathers them) although I did want a particular pattern so that pushed the price up quite a bit. For quality curtains its not an unreasonable amount although it did shock me at the time and that didn't include the time of the seamstress who just wanted to help me out. She made two cushions from what was left which helped link the curtains to the upholstery and all the tie backs which I've yet to presstud to the sides.

Very pleased with them though as they really are quality, shut out the light well and help keep the inside cool in summer and warm in winter. The big advantage of choosing your own fabric is you can get just the right 'look' without being tied to the over-used gingham stuff seen in many Type2's.

You can certainly pay less than £150 for ready-made kits but not sure if they're fully lined. There are many around good with a sewing machine that are glad of the work though. It matters not whether curtains are for a van or for a window at home - same rules apply apparently. All I had to do was show her the 'drop' (length) I required and she did the lot.

thanks all i am on the look out for some fabric
we have the odd popper around the van approx at the bottom of the curtains should this be for the curtains

Yes, can be, or for the tie-backs.

Poppers on mine (autosleeper) are both for the tie backs and to attach curtain to give them a tight fit to the window
