12 Volt amplifier

Hi does anyone know where I can buy a 12 volt amplifier, I want something like a hi fi seperates amp that runs on 12 volt with inputs and volume tone controls, not a power amp for running 200 w++ woofers.
A secondhand unit is perfectly acceptable if working.

Most amps are 12v but fitted with transformers to run on mains - food for thought anyway.

Thanks Ralph, I was aware of that I am specifically looking for something small, not house sized and I dont want to use a car head unit.

I've got one in the back of my van which I use for my ipod or laptop but you can plug anything with RCA or jack plugs into them. Picked mine up for a fiver at an autojumble.

One of those would be excellent but they seem very dear on ebay, mostly dear and from thailand. Anyone got one cheap and in the UK please?

Keep looking on Ebay. There was a second hand one for a fiver on there a couple of weeks ago.
