Hi...Club Joker 1.6TD - new owner!
Next question..the eberspacher heater comes on but doesn't get warm, then switches itself off after a couple of minutes. I read somewhere this can happen if the leisure battery is low, the leisure battery should be at full power as it hasn't been used for ages and I've been doing a lot of miles, checked the voltage and it's showing 12.8v which should be fine.
Any common problems with them? Where should I start fault finding?

Re: Eber fault?
Try it with the engine running ... you may also have a foooked l/battery, have you checked the voltage ? Ebers need combustion fuel combustion air and about 13volts(?) and a balanced flue. Is the Thermostat set too high, does it have a timer ?
Kin complicated these Deutsche Devons aren't they

Re: Eber fault?
Does the eber have a green light on the controll switch? If so does it flash when the Eber cuts out? Different sequences of flashes point to where the fault is. e.g overheating, no fuel, low voltage etc.
If you can get hold of a manual it will tell you what the different flashes mean. Failing that if it is flashing try to describe the sequence on here and I'll have a look in my manual.
From the description it sounds to me like it could possibly be the fuel not getting through.

Re: Eber fault?
mine did that turned to be the battery. Have you checked the volts before turning it on and whilst it is running?

Thanks for the replies.
I've checked the l/battery voltage without the engine running and it was showing 12.8v
I'll check out the flashing LED when it cuts out (i'm at work at the moment so can't look) and I'll get back to you!

Re: Eber fault?
ok..further info. The leisure batt is showing 13.8v with the engine running & 13v not runnning.
The sounds like it's misfiring or having trouble getting started and eventually gives up and stops. The green light stays on all the time and doesn't flash at all when it stop.
Any ideas? from the sound of it trying to start it's like it's starved of fuel or air?
