2.1 mv fuel filter

Post by torchy »

I had to replace the fuel pump bcause the rust on the bracket had punched a hole in the pump can. So I'll change the fuel filter while I'm doing it I think.
Turns out the fuel filter is the size of a baked bean can! where on earth does it go. Is it on top of the tank? I can't think where else it would go?
Also amazingly my local Bristol VW had both the pump and the filter in stock!!

Filter is behind the NSR chassis leg. Reach around the wheel and it is the far side of the leg.

I have a used clamp in stock but not the plate, I had to make a new plate from a template of clives one, that worked fine though.
