Boring out

Post by el sketcho »

I know I'm gonna get shot down for this with a load of sarky replies but what the hell. Is it possible to bore out the cylinder on a 1.7 diesel or is it just not worth it?

Guns at the ready, fire away :P

Because
its easier better and cheaper to upgrade to TD or "AAZ".....
a lot of hassle, cost and work for not much more than zero gain..
go see if you can find some pistons to start with...
If it were that simple and easy, loads of peeps would do it...

Enough reasons??

Fair enough, can't argue with that.
I've got a hankering for the subaru diesel but I think I'll have to wait a while for one of them to come up.

Cheers mate :ok

A guy at my wife's firm has a legacy diesel as his company car so I might see if I can by it off the firm cheap when he's due a new car. He's had it a year so far and he's already done 100k but it's wanted for nothing. Either that or hopefully one of the lorries will drive into the back of it while it's parked up :ok
