Peugeot 1.9 turbo diesel into a T25
I have a FREE engine from a Peugeot 1.9. It's a turbo diesel with low miles. Anyone fitted one to a T25? If so, how much and how difficult? Was it worth it?

yes hear i am!
speaking from personal experience i have never had a problem with one and ive done probably near 150000 miles on the couple ive had.
as with any conversion it can be a bodge instal or a good instal which costs money! but it is possible to get one in your van for the price of selling your original engine!
started with the 1.9td now use the 2.1td!
check the 'completed conversions' on the vwkd site mine is the autohomes kamper. also seen at vws shows dragging the t25 caravan
i have only fitted 6 to friends/familys vans, only one has ever been a problem, thats my mates who ran the montego engine for 6 months until he blew it last christmas , replaced with a pug 1.9td, so far he has blown 3 engine mounts , 1 clutch center and 1 head gasket! (none of which i have ever done!) his other car is a vr6! and he constantly tells me he does 85-90 mph on his way to work which is 40 miles of motorway every day! and he has a 4 speed abd gearbox!
you may have seen the van in the fast lane of the m5 usually around 7.45 most mornings between gloucester and bristol! give him a wave, white van with roof areial and merc alloys!

Yes i am a fan of these engines and as soon as i can get a good adapter plate & fabricate a engine mount with its support bar i will convert.
