idel problem 2.1 auto

hi wonder if any body can shed some light on this stalling,i have a 2.1 i auto lovely van but 1 problem i cant solve, after a long run it willcut out but start her again and shell be fine aroundtown untill she goes for a long run gets hot then same problem again

Sounds like a temp sender issue
theres two on th thermo housin

hi thsnxs for the reply, ye it has been worked on ,dont know whats been changed on it ,since iv had it always had this problem,other than that its lovely.checked all air pipes & serviced , changed fuel filter dont know what it could be any advice would be appreciated although today ill be changeing thermo temp switch & coil

changed temp senders today still no good, still cutting out after been taken for a long run, if anybody knows anything about it or had simular problems would be much greatfull for any advice thanxs

Just an idea.

It maybe a fuel tank vacuum which is why it only happens after a long run.

You will need info from one of the gurus on here ref where the breathers are and how to check.

i have the same its just started to happen but its random long run or short it just dies
always starts again but a pain with a auto box going 35 mph around a roundabout and it all goes dead
all lights on dash light up
so move gear selector into N and restart
which is fine except if your not quick the steering lock clicks on as you are still moving the wheel and driving while all this is going on
brown underpants moment
