Managed to find an Eberspacher repair place in Newark and following the initial phone call and without inspection, it could just need a good service or I think they said 'DE-COAT'???

I know its not been done for a while so fingers crossed. Will update when found out more.

If you could see smoke somethings definitely wrong, It' a sealed unit cold air goes in one pipe and exhaust comes out of another. The heat is produced by air being blown over the heat exchanger. Was this smoke being blown out of the heater vent?
When they have been left dormant for a coupke of years they do blow out some "pooh", you sure this is not coming in from the outside. Also mine had a vey oily smell at first which gradually went away.

Rob.

Took to a guy today and he could not help (young chap not a clue lol)

I am not sure if it just needs a good session to get rid of the crap in it? Rob r u at Cromer tomorrow? Maybe I could tempt you into having a beer or 2 and having a quick scan over it to see what you think (whether its coming from the interior of the Heat Exchanger or exterior of the van)?
