T25 Water cooled engine hoses
Hi - Just registered today in hope someone can help with my dilemma. I've only recently acquired a 1984 T25 LHD Westfalia Club Joker with 1888cc 4 speed petrol engine. The original engine no started with letters DG, had done 200,000 miles, the clutch and gearbox were severely worn and so I felt, as this was an investment, I'd better put in a new engine. A Vege import from Germany has been fitted by local VW Specialist to same spec as original. Gearbox has also been rebuilt and I'm anxious to get out on the open road and enjoy her a little before the summer ends. Problem is engine hoses have perished, VW no longer manufacture them and all stocks appear to have dried up. Does anyone know of a company who manufactures authentic hoses please? Have tried Alan Scholfield, Just Kampers and just this morning Simon Baxter at Brickwerks on recommendation of editor to VW Camper and Commercial but all enquiries are proving fruitless and I'm running out of options. My garage has also made extensive enquiries through the trade but all to the same end. Starting to feel she's not gonna see light of day this year! Any guidance, assistance or pointers would be very gratefully received. Many thanks in anticipation. Adrian

I have some genuine NOS water pipes in stock for the early boxer engine Part numbers 025 121 073 E and 025 121 103C I would like £30.00for them collected from Chester or could courier if required at your cost.

Hi Adrian, and welcome!
I'm in a similar place to you I have exactly the same model as you and been trying to source some hoses - so keen to know how you get on. I notice the bus depot have a hose kit, but I haven't pursued it - I've had one single new hose from them from bleed valve to long back to front pipe but the other was discontinued http://busdepot2.webappcabaret.net/details/water19.jsp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, failing that I guess its VW breakers for second hand parts. I'm wondering if there are any silicone hose manufacturers that do kits, or maybe its a case of getting creative with different pipes - but I guess you want new for a new engine!! I also found the following http://www.coolingcomponents.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; they have some new pipes but they only supply in bulk.
Let me know how you get on, I'm sure there's plenty of people on here who have solved this so hopefully you will find a solution!!
Good luck

Many thanks to both of you. Not being in any way mechanically minded I don't know if the Peugeot Boxer pipes will fit Steve and need to check with my garage. Thanks also Kervinmervin - will investigate and naturally let you know if I have any successes.

Re: T25 Water cooled engine hoses
No problem, I think (could be wrong) that Steve is referring to a VW Waterboxer engine, the two long pipes are the ones that run from the bleed valve in the middle top rear around the left hand side of the engine bay to the water pump....
Its worthing joining this http://www.vagcat.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and reviewing the catalogue, contains lists and pictures of the endless components of the watercooled engine!!
