pop-top exteriur/interiour project, dusty carpet & roof vent

Post by covdubber »

the carpet type material in my devon is knackered, its raining biege dust which cant be good for your lungs when asleep!
is there a kit you buy or could you recommend the material type i should replace it with?

also i'll be doing the job on it myself & not sure how to remove it & what type of glue to use?

has anyone else done this on there Aircooled devon?

is there anything worth doing/improving when i'm doing this job?
my aim is to make my old devon as plush as i can

also my roof vent is all bent & out of shape, is there a straight fiamma replacement?

i gotta replace the pop-top seals at the same time also, are the JK seals good or rubbish?

any help/advice is appreciated

Have a look at 'Woolies' website, they have to carpet you are looking for. Have recovered parts of my devon with it, doing the rest this Winter...

how do you get the old stuff off?

mine is prety thin due to it turning to dust so you can see the poptop through the carpet, my devon is going bald from the inside LOL

is it just a case of getting busy with a scraper?

what glue do you use to put the new stuff on
