Hi
I have searched but not come up with an answer yet,
I have a 1986 watercooled 1.9 petrol/ LPG van the problem (i beleive quite common) is the metal inserts that go into the plastic water pipes that bring the water forward and back to the radiator have corroded away, and are leaking pretty bad.
My question is can you buy the inserts, or water pipes, or is there an alternative solution please.
Thanks

Yes, from the US
Pretty sure GoWesty (California) do them, they are spun brass inserts that go into the pipes once it's cut off clean (I think)
PM jebiga41 - I know he had some, that looked the perfect solution to your dilemma

Re: Metal inserts in plastic water pipes
The metal inserts are moulded in and not meant to be replaced.
I trialled some repair sections in stainless and in plastic but by the time I had made them they were as expensive as replacing the pipes.
Just buy some pipes from JK, easier, cheaper, more effective.
