Door Adjustment

Post by Bert2 »

Does anyone know is it possible to adjust the position of the rear door, I know the hinge position can be altered left, right up and down, but how do you adjust to pull the door in and out so that it seals correctly and aligns correctly with the rear corner panels. the L/H edge of my door is flush with the corner panel but the R/R sticks out slightly proud. any ideas

by moving the latch pin on the body, it's screwed in to the shell

note this is for Aug 84 built models on, I don't know about early shell/door

Same for early shelled vans. There is also adjustment from the rubber bungs in the lower corners. Failing that its a 2 man job of twisting it to fit, not the way shown in any book i have seen but it's what i've had to do a few times now when fitting replacement tailgates... :ok
Thats PEET as in FEET!!!
