chassis number confusion!

chassis number confusion!
Hi all,l have a B reg 1984 bus and am a bit confused as l need a sliding door latch and assumed l had the early door pre 1985 only to be told my door is the later 1, can someone enlighten me on the difference between the 2 + l have never been happy with the way my anti rollbar link arms sit they seem to be on the p**s l have the straight 1's and am wondering if they should be the cranked 1's so had a look on fleabay and the cranked are up to chassis no:25-E-220000 the only number l can find is on my id plate and is WV2ZZZ25ZFH032390 is 25 zfh 032390 my chassis no: and if so do you go on the last 6 digits only?cheers.

Looking on Brickwerks site, your van was built between 30/09/1984 and 31/10/84 if that's any use...

confusion is because by pre 85 we mean 85 model year which were built between aug 84 and july 85, the sliding door change actually happened in may 84 but many weren't registered till much later
lb plates are generally cross overs and need to check chassis number to be sure which shell you have
confusingly the shell and brake changes didn't happen in sync with the engine cooling system change so you get late shells with early wbx engines and cooling system - my old MustardPot was one of those but was a c plate cos it was registered over a year after being built as it took that long to be converted and sold by autohomes
you should have the straight links as these changed 1 aug 84
