1.6TD Turbo

I've just had my joker in the garage as it really struggles up hills and has on occasion given up mid climb. The guy tells me that it is likely to be a problem with my 'waste gate valve' so the turbo isn't turning. I've been told I need to replace the turbo which will cost £500-700 plus labour for a reconditioned one. Does anyone know where I can get a second hand one or a cheaper way to cure my poorly camper otherwise does anyone want to buy my spare kidney for a grand?
