Re: sliding door prob.
the rear lock is kerfuffed, probably spread jaws due to missalignment and or loose fitting, you'll have to find a good un from one of the breakers and replace, you have to remove the rear roller from the track and pull rear of door out to access the lock and replace, support rear of door on axle stand or similar whilst working on it, this applies to post may 85 built vans, prior to that different and I can't advise on those.
the lock is obsolete from vw now

If it is post '85 then I'm sure the answer is No.

Ask in the wanted section or look on Fleabay, they do come up from time to time but watch out for Fleabay prices, I paid a fiver plus P&P but I had seen them upto £50 on a buy-it-now.
When mine went I debate about fitting one of these on the inside as a temporary measure until I could get the catch http://www.vintagecarparts.co.uk/en/214 ... r-details/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: sliding door prob.
temporay fix is remove lock and squeeze it slightly top to bottom to close the jaws slightly and refix and check that it aligns well, may require door adjusting, procedure should be in wiki.
If alignment bad it will force the body apart and give the problem you have

Re: sliding door prob.
you could try Volksmagic in Oldbury for spares - not always the cheapest though.
