Olive for gas control knobs

Post by Fozzie »

I have the Autohomes conversion, to which is fitted a 3-way manifold control for the heater, hob and fridge gas connections - visible in pic below. as part of an overhaul of the (diabolically bad) interior design I have moved the manifold, which means new 8mm tube all round, which means new olives to the compression joints. Mistake... the standard (Screwfix et al) compression joint olives are too small. Closer inspection reveal the original olives are fancy long, conical affairs, as per the picture. I have no idea where to source them - anyone have a clue?

Or could I just dump the manifold and tee everything off the feed from the gas locker?

They are 8mm stepped or shouldered olives, I got our's (and the manifold) from CAK tanks.

Thanks for the replies. FWIW it's worth gasonspares passed me on to another supplier. I have now requested info from them and from CAK tanks. Will post the results for the benefit of future searchers...
