I am very interested in buying a T25 pop top camper van. But am unsure which one to go for. I like the layout of the Westfalia but being left hand drive makes me a little wary as I may being using it for my primary vehicle. I have also seen a nice Autohomes Kamper RHD. I am thinking of spending 6-10K for a nice van but not entirely sure of the pros and cons of each model. Can anybody help.

For what its worth I have both (for now) Autohomes are reasonably well made comfortable and warm well laid out etc but they (and all other conversions just about) are based on clangy noisy panel vans. The base vehicle for a Westy is more or less a Caravelle spec makes for a very refined ride.
You know what, Westys are good dont get me wrong but they do have alot of metal on show. Camping this winter in one will be interesting with all that cold metal and the ebber going. Out of all the vans i have sat in the westy does feel the biggest from the inside with the front table and the rear one etc. They do feel abit boxy, but the Autohomes can feel chinsy. Give it 5 minutes and the people who wish they had a westy will bring out the S word.

I wanted a Westy but budget wasn't up to the kind of condition I wanted.
I've got an Autohomes solid sided pop top, she is called Tinkerbell and I spent 3/4 of my budget on her, the other 1/4 went on getting her sorted and I'm glad I held a bit of budget back coz you never know what's around the corner mechanically.
Can't beat a nice slice of toast with your fried egg and bacon tho eh!

Just pull your Westy up next to an Autohomes........thier owners are so nice that if you drop enough hints they'll pop your raw toast under the grill for you!
Westies are good, well built, well designed, solid conversions. So are lots of others..........
You've just as good a chance as picking up a crummy (or even fake) Westifalia as a crummy Autohomes or a crummy Autosleeper, Holdsworth etc. Buy whichever you feel is the best vehicle with a conversion you feel most at home in and you (probably) won't regret it whatever it is.
