Theres plenty of them about as they where fitted to BT vans.
They are the same size a D1lc and are 2.2kw.

Thanks again for the info. In my van I've got an rear heater under the back seats (and speakers either side of it) so I was wondering if anyone's fitted a heater under either of the 2 front seats. Good to know if it's possible or not. I've measured up and referred to the dimenstions of the Eber D1LC, but it looks a bit tight although don't know for sure. How about the Webasto?

You can pick 24v ones up for £50 ish, a relay ,12 to 24v converter, a diode and a couple of transistors and your away, I've even added remote switching so that my vans can be defrosted for a couple of hours before I go out to them in the winter (an extra £12 for two remote relays). I've done two 2000s and three HL18Ds, total is under £350 - your brains and research cost nothing!

dus fancy doin a link in the wiki for convertin the 24's to 12's owduck,cant afford a 12v one at the mo,theyre doin serious brass!!,due to me bein an unemployed down n outer a cheaper 24v and a bit of messin around might do me just dandy!!!!!!!!!!.or have you a thread where it was all explained.......cheerz

I was down a eberspacher dealer today to see where best to fit mine, we looked into fitting under the front passenger seat but the technician said there wasn't enough room for it to work properly so it look like it'll have to go under the rock&roll bed, so I'll be loosing storage

This is how I'm gonna be doing mine as soon as my exhaust and air intake pipe turn up. Definately seems like the most hassle free option. Especially if, like me you have a petrol van and a diesel Eberspacher. Gonna be fitting a small diesel tank behind the front grill. (Aircooled so plenty of room)

look at getting a plastic boat fuel tank and fit it behind the front grill and sit it on top of the spare wheel ,

Looks good fitted under the glove box. Are there any problems with cold spots in the back or does the heat circulate well from front to back?

we have a length of ducting pipe that connects to the ebber and place it between the seats.this sends the hot air into the sitting area.same as this..http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/60MM-HOT-AIR-DUCT ... 0074102492

a little word of advice to anyone fitting an ebber under the glove box , watch out for the wiring and washer pumping behind the grill , the exhaust on an ebber gets VERY hot and will melt these very easily , so watch how you route the pipes

Ours blows directly into the passenger area, and this heats the air for the hightop. We already have one in the cab area .... attached to the engine

Is yours sited under the glovebox or elsewhere?
