Oil breather pipe

Post by jake1953 »

Any idea where I can buy an oil breather pipe part no. 025 129 493A?
obsolete from main dealers as of 01.07.09
Or does anyone know of a standard hose which can bend to an "s" shape without kinking which will do?

Brickwerks does them new, or use a thin-walled, oil-resistant hose and put a stainless spring up it to prevent kinking.

No joy at Brickwerks. Is silicon hose oil resistant?

VW made them obsolete.
I ran out before I noticed VW had struck them off.
I am quite willing to get them re-made in Silicone, but I don't have a good sample.
If anyone has a good used one, I will pay for it and get them sent off for the tooling making up.
The hoses for the JX Diesel engine are also now obsolete, I am just having the tooling made to be able to reproduce them in silicone too.
