Looks like I may have found a brand new set of LT mirrors similar to the synchro variety.
Does anyone know if they will fit straight on or if they need modifying in any way.
Thanks
Stu

Re: LT mirrors to a T25
i am in the process of doing the same, i will be using rivnuts rather than self tappers to fix as once the arms start to get a "knock" or move at all the self tappers will become loose and cause problems ,as for fitting, one of the lower existing holes will line up but the 2nd wont , you will have to make a new fixing for the 2nd lt mirror arm hole(lower door) and also drill and fix the upper bracket in the upper door, the lt mirrors also sit at a slightly different angle ... you can correct this by modifying the lower part of the arm or use adjustable 180% swivel truck mirrors..

Re: LT mirrors to a T25
They're a great improvement Stu, but not hassle free...
There are at least 2 different bottom mounts for the LT mirrors, neither of which will fit the existing holes in your doors. For one type, you can re-drill the doors & rivnut, for the other type, you can re-drill the mount and extend the hole, it's obvious from the underside of the casting (I've got one of each...)
If it's the one that needs the door re-drilling it's not a prob - bung the old hole with "chemical metal" and refit the old rubber gasket over the top... If it's the type where you can modify the mount just drill it out to the end of the marked oval shape on the underside ( and again I've filled the unused bit of the hole with Holts' finest..
My mirror heads themselves are just a couple or Universal convex ones rather than genuine VW jobs - I can angle them to sit vertically so the LT arms don't look like they're at an angle
Top mounts I've done with self tappers and no probs to date. Mine isn't the prettiest van in the world & I always work on the theory with vehicles that if it does what it should that's good enough for me.... I like the new mirrors, massive improvement on the old little ones that were on when I bought it
Good luck
Andi

Re: LT mirrors to a T25
I modified my LT mirror arms by shortening the bottom of arm by 61mm. To do this I removed the pin, cut of the 61mm, sanded and cleaned until it all fit together, mounted on van to make sure everything was aligned, drilled new holes in arm and put pin back in.. and painted. Now they set vertical. I put the mirrors on arms with more of mirror outside of arm then inside of arm, so mirror is in same position as syncros are. If you look at the lower mounts you will see a relief in casting with holes drilled to inside. Same casting or both LT and Syncro. Difference is hole spacing. Fill the mounting holes in lower mount and re-drill the holes to the outside of casting relief on back side. I was lucky and was able to get the last of the syncro mounts. Upper mounts are same on both, but don't fit tight to t25 door. Syncro packing was tapered to fill the gap at bottom of mount/door. If you bend the arm so mount fits door, you will compromise the alignment pivot points. I made tracings of syncro arms and LT arms with 61mm cut off. I made sure the LT arms were matching the syncro arms top and bottom positions before I mounted them.
PM your email address and I'll email you copies of the tracing in .pdf.
