New to Camping

Post by syncropaddy »

Im completely new to camping so Im starting to collect all the stuff one might need so when the latest Lidl advertising bumph came through my letterbox I saw this
http://www.lidl.ie/ie/home.nsf/pages/c. ... ble_Toilet" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Can anyone tell me if this would be good value or would it be a piece of carp

Looks like a Porta Potti (Thetford Plastics) clone... best check the dimensions of where you are going to house it as this is not the smallest size available...ie the 135... quality may not be as good but then again it could be the real thing ....but airbrushed photo!. Go and look at one! :D
Test in store!

You will be OK testing it... claim it's an 'art installation' funded by the EU... you may even get a grant to place it along one of the motorways :rofl ...........seriously do go and check it out as it may well be a bona fide Porta Potti in which case the price is OK!

I bought a ''Mobil Toilet'' from Lidl a year or so ago. It is not a ''clone'' as they are actually made by Thetford. There is a manufacturer's sticker on top of the lower tank. :)
