Carpets!!
Hi there, we have just purchased a T25 Holdsworth,(high top) and we are trying to do most of the refurb ourselves
I have found a couple of websites that provide the carpet for the ceiling but just wondered if any one knows of any carpet manufacturers they could recommend? This is our first camper and any help or tips regarding the replacing of roof lining/carpet would be much appreciated, Many Thanks

Re: Carpets!!
I'm in the same boat as you I was told to get some really good spray adhesive and that fleece is good to use. I've got to redo mine as the carpet we used is far to heavy, I was also told to make sure the ventilation is good as it gets damp with condensation and the glue won't hold. What website did you find the carpet on? Cheers Sarah

Hi dottycom
What's happened to your original headlining? The use of carpet as an inner roofing material requires an adhesive that sticks like s--t to a blanket but normally after a time it doesn't! and the heavy carpet will start to peel and sag... also I've seen vans where the pile of the carpet moults and everything is covered in a thin layer of fibres. IMO headlining material is best... so a quote from an automotive upholsterer may be in order... it breathes...carpet does not... its lightweight...carpet isn't. If your headling is just dirty it can be cleaned professionally.
Good luck
...and welcome to the Holdsworth owners club!

Just been through this & in the process of finishing off. I boarded out the roof so it is now flat with LED's in then boarded all the door & side panels making them 2 tone. This material is very pliable & moulds very well the web site for this is http://www.vw" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; trim.co.uk.For carpet & glue i used coverdale ltd who sell off the roll very good car carpet they have a very wide range of colours & will do a sample card of colours you may want. Both companys are very good to deal with good luck.

Re: Carpets!!
I know two things; don't use a spray adhesive, get a tin of adhesive you can paint on the panels you want to cover and my Autohomes took nigh on 7 x 4 mtrs of carpet (allowing for the odd "cock"-up and a bit left over).
