Just contemplating what to do.....
The ceramic (internal part of the cat) is obviously moving inside and rattling like a bas....ard
So either.....I get a replacement cat (anyone got a good second hand one they have removed?) OR
Is their a replacement section (with boss for the lambda sensor) that replaces the cat on an MV (MV 2.1 has a shorter silencer) I really don't want to have to scrap the existing silencer as it is genuine VW.

yes I believe there is a replacement section.. I'm pretty sure it's been discussed on here and BY.

Throw the cat away (well take it down your local scrappy, might give you some cash for it, as its got some expensive metals inside) I think Brickwerks has a "cat bypass" pipe...

Cheers guys
I looked on Simons site but couldn't see the pipe listed, also....seem to remember in a previous thread that there is one but it doesn't have a boss for the sensor.
I will have another look, in the meantime if anyone else has a link I would be greatful.

Re: 2.1 petrol MV Cat rattling
Martin,
I have a full stainless system arriving shortly and therefore will have the CAT available from that system. However, it may be a couple of weeks or so before it will be available but I'll keep you posted if your interested.
Cheers
