Temp Gague
Wonder if anyone can help. My temperature guage has died. It is just sitting there doing nothing. Any suggestions before I need to take it to a garage and get charged a fortune

Re: Temp Gague
Previous owner has removed the red light there is a blue bit of tape where it shoud be. I might try putting my hand up and fiddling around with the back of the gague. I have no Idea how to find or test the sender. Thanks for all your suggestions. Will have a fiddle when I am away at the weekend. We are heading down to Beadnell to get the cob webs blown away

sender is located on the thermostat, simply remove the wires to it and join them together with the ignition on, the gauge will then go to maximum, if it does then the sender is broke.
flashing light indicates low water in the expansion tank.
the gauge is very delicate... be careful if you "fiddle" with it
