fitting a voltage gauge for main battery

Post by eddie.eagles »

I've ordered a battery volt gauge for my main battery as I have ran it flat a couple of times now (luckily when working on it although very nearly didnt start when away this weekend!) I have a small led light display for the leisure battery and water tank level. Can anyone recommend the best place and the easiest way to fit it??

Cov Kid posted a thread (also in the wiki) for fitting a digital voltmeter that monitors both batteries via user switch. He located it on the plastic cowling under the centre of the dash. Seems a sensible location given that you can easily remove the cowling, its easy to cut being plastic and not too far away from the fuse box or the batteries if you run the wires under the mat.
